Bottle

bottle

When the sweet rays of the sun
Became scorching heat waves
You had no other option but to run
To the nearest ponds and lakes

You found a lonely man
Taking a quenching sip
From a purple water can
Thoroughly stuck to his lip

Help from him you sought
Said “give me some water”
Paused for a moment; he thought
I’m saving it for my daughter

A little fairy descended
And gave you a purple bottle
Your thirst eventually ended
Giving your soul a throttle

So, pass on the kindness
If even just a drop
Fill the world with brightness
For sadness to finally stop
